Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the diffuser. The diffuser is the plastic or glass cover that protects the LED bulbs. It is usually held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and carefully lift the diffuser off the light.
Disconnect the wires. There will be two or three wires connected to the light fixture. Use the wire cutters to cut the wires, leaving about 6 inches of wire exposed. Strip the insulation off the ends of the wires.
