How To Replace A Ceiling Light

Gather Your Materials

A new ceiling light fixture

Turn Off the Power

Safety first! Before you start working on the light fixture, turn off the power to the circuit that controls it. You can do this by flipping the breaker in your circuit breaker panel or by removing the fuse from the fuse box.

Remove the Old Fixture

Once the power is off, you can remove the old fixture. Start by unscrewing the screws that hold the fixture in place. Then, carefully disconnect the wires from the fixture.
